Van Phuc and But Thap Pagodas

Van Phuc Pagoda, surrounded by hill considered noteworthy for their beauty, was founded in 1037. It is 27km north-east of Hanoi.

But Thap Pagoda, also known as Ninh Phuc Pagoda, is known for its four storey stone sputa dedicated to the monk Chuyet Cong. The pagoda’s date of founding is uncertain, but records indicate that it was rebuilt in the 17th and 18th centuries; the layout of the structure is traditional.

But Thap Pagoda is not far from Van Phuc Pagoda.
